Professional Knowledge is 33 percent of the questions but 69 percent of the marks, so one technical question is worth 4.4 aptitude questions, and sweeping the aptitude sections while answering nothing technical scores just 25 of 80.
The penalty is one fourth of the marks that question carries, not a flat 0.25 across the paper. A wrong Professional Knowledge answer costs 0.55 marks, any other wrong answer 0.125, and a blank costs nothing.

Professional Knowledge is ITI trade theory, because eligibility is SSC (10th) plus an NCVT ITI certificate in the Electrician (वीजतंत्री) or Wireman (तारतंत्री) trade. The handout ties the test to the subject specialisation in that qualification: the DGT Craftsman Training Scheme curriculum.
These three sections give 50 questions worth 25 marks between them, with fifth options such as "Other than those given as options" and निर्दोष in Marathi error spotting. No official document states their level; we read them as SSC level in the IBPS style from the handout's sample questions. They are the cheapest marks per minute on the paper.
Two widely copied errors do real damage: a diploma-level syllabus pasted onto an ITI post, and statutory content taught from law that has been repealed.
A third trap: pages printing 130 questions for 150 marks in 120 minutes quote the 2023 clause replaced on 29 April 2025 and again on 2 May 2025.
Give roughly two thirds of your study hours to Professional Knowledge and one third to the aptitude sections, because that is how the marks fall. Eligibility is SSC (10th) plus an NCVT ITI certificate earned after SSC, and selection is the CBT alone, with no interview.
