This Privacy Policy explains how Sitocrats Pvt. Ltd. (“Sitocrats”, “we”, “us”), the company that owns and operates the Quiz4Exam brand, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Quiz4Exam website, mobile applications and services (the “Platform”). It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: your name, mobile number and (optionally) email address and avatar.
Learning data: tests attempted, answers, scores, time spent, ranks, notebook entries and preferences such as language and target exams.
Payment data: order details, amount, payment status and a payment-gateway reference. Card/UPI/banking credentials are collected directly by our payment partner (Razorpay) and never stored by us.
Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, and usage logs collected for security, debugging and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

To create and operate your account (OTP login, profile, purchases, entitlements).
To deliver core features: tests, scoring, all-India ranks, percentiles and personalised analytics.
To process payments and maintain billing records as required by law.
To send service messages (OTPs, receipts, test results) and, with your consent, study reminders and offers. You can opt out of promotional messages anytime.
To keep the Platform secure, prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. rank manipulation), and comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis & Consent

We process your data with your consent (given when you sign up), for the performance of our contract with you (delivering services you've purchased), and for legitimate uses permitted under Indian law (security, fraud prevention, legal compliance). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, subject to data we must retain by law.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Payment processors (Razorpay) to complete transactions.
Infrastructure and communication providers (cloud hosting, SMS/OTP delivery) bound by confidentiality obligations.
Law-enforcement or government authorities where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.

5. Leaderboards & Public Information

Your rank and a display name may appear on leaderboards visible to other users. You can enable leaderboard privacy from the leaderboard screen to limit how your name is shown.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 90 days after deletion to allow recovery from accidental deletion. Payment and tax records are retained for the period required by Indian law (currently 8 years). Anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. question difficulty statistics) may be retained indefinitely.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed credentials, role-based access controls within our team, and isolated infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorised access, hacking, data loss or breaches resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, provided we have maintained the reasonable security practices required of us. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@quiz4exam.in from your registered contact details. Requests are subject to identity verification and to data we are required or permitted to retain under applicable law (for example payment and tax records, or records needed to establish or defend legal claims).

Access and review the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (most profile data can be edited in-app).
Delete your account and associated personal data.
Withdraw consent for promotional communications.
Nominate another person to exercise these rights in case of death or incapacity, as provided by the DPDP Act, 2023.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for exam aspirants aged 13 and above. For users under 18, we rely on verifiable parental consent as required by law. We do not knowingly track or target advertising at children.

We use strictly necessary cookies/local storage for login sessions and preferences, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand feature usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

11. Storage Location & Third-Party Links

Your data is primarily stored on servers located in India. Some service providers may process limited data outside India; where they do, we require safeguards consistent with applicable Indian law.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform or via your registered contact details, with the “Last updated” date revised above.
