Delete Your Account

You can delete your Quiz4Exam account and the personal data attached to it at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains both routes, exactly what is removed, what we are required by Indian law to keep, and how long each step takes. Quiz4Exam is operated by Sitocrats Pvt. Ltd., and deletion is handled in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Delete From the App (Fastest)

If you can still sign in, this is the quickest route and needs no approval from us:

Open the Quiz4Exam app (Android) or quiz4exam.com and sign in.
Go to Profile, the last tab on the bottom bar.
Scroll to Account actions and tap Delete account.
Confirm when prompted. Your account is closed immediately and you are signed out on every device.

2. Delete by Email (If You Cannot Sign In)

If you have lost access to your registered mobile number and cannot sign in, email support@quiz4exam.com from an address linked to your account, or include your registered mobile number, with the subject "Delete my account".

We verify ownership before deleting anything, because an unverified deletion request is itself a way to attack someone's account. Verification may involve confirming details only the account holder would know. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete verified deletions within 30 days.

3. What Is Deleted

Your profile: name, mobile number, email address and avatar.
Your learning data: test attempts, answers, scores, ranks, percentiles, practice sessions, error notebook entries and analytics derived from them.
Your preferences: target exams, app and test language, notification and reminder settings.
Your devices: push notification tokens, so the app can no longer reach you.
Your entitlements: access to any purchased test series or packages ends with the account.

4. What We Keep, and Why

A small amount of data survives deletion because Indian law requires it or because removing it would damage other users' records. This is the complete list:

Payment and tax records (invoice, amount, GST details, gateway reference) for 8 years, as required under Indian tax law. These are financial records of a completed transaction, not an active profile.
A recovery window: your account data is held in a deactivated state for up to 90 days so an accidental deletion can be reversed, then permanently erased. Tell us if you want this window waived.
Anonymised, aggregated statistics (for example how difficult a question proved across all candidates). These carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to you.
Records we are required or permitted to retain to establish or defend a legal claim, or to comply with a lawful order.

5. How Long It Takes

In-app deletion: immediate. You are signed out everywhere at once.
Email request: acknowledged within 48 hours, completed within 30 days of successful verification.
Permanent erasure: after the 90-day recovery window, except for the records listed above.

6. Uninstalling the App Is Not Deletion

Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account or your data. It only removes the app from that device, and your account stays active and reachable from any other device. Use one of the two routes above to actually delete it.

7. Deleting Is Not the Only Option

If your concern is marketing email rather than the account itself, you can turn off "Offers and updates by email" in Profile, or use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, and keep your account and your test history. Transactional messages such as receipts and password or OTP flows are always sent, as they are needed to operate the account.
